We are excited to welcome Eric Harder as the Head Wrestling Coach at McKay.  He is a recent graduate from Western Oregon University. Growing up in Bethesda, MD He attended Walt Whitman High School where He participated in wrestling all 4 years. After graduating from Whitman, Eric moved to the west coast attending Pacific University. At Pacific He earn s earned 98 varsity wins and won the great lakes national qualifier to attend the Division III national championships. After college Eric found his passion for teaching and coaching. He immediately set out to coach and teach. Eric spent 2 years at Neil Armstrong Middle School and 1 year coaching at South Salem. During that time, He earned his masters in teaching which led him to coaching and teaching at McKay High School. He is a new social studies teacher at Mckay teaching AP world history and Economics. Eric says, “I am excited to teach a great group of student-athletes the skills they need to graduate college and career ready.”
