The Oregon Guarantee

The University of Oregon Guarantees Tuition Costs Stay the Same

We know cost is a big factor when deciding where to attend college. To aid in that decision making, we’ve introduced Oregon Guarantee.

Oregon Guarantee is our promise to you, that when you choose the UO, the tuition rate you pay will stay the same for five years with no increases and no surprises.

Who qualifies?

Oregon Guarantee applies to all freshman and transfer students.

What does it cover?

Oregon Guarantee covers tuition (resident and nonresident), most mandatory fees, honors college differential tuition, College of Business undergraduate differential tuition, and the international fee.

To learn more about our fixed tuition rate program, including how it works and FAQs, please visit our website.

Financing College: Videos for Students & their Families

OnPoint Community Credit Union has been the title sponsor of the OSAA State Championships Since 2018.  They also support the Academic All-State Program, and they are excited to continue celebrating student success in and out of the classroom.

They also provide a series of excellent videos that answer common questions about financing college. We encourage high school students and their families to watch the videos and then seek guidance from Mr. Brook and/or your high school counselor. Making a plan now helps lead to success!

Western Oregon Application Day & Fall Preview

Western Oregon University Invites YOU to apply!
Learn more about the opportunities at WOU.

  1. First, we have an application workshop on November 10th. Up until now, I have only had 5 students register for the event. In order for them to get the Zoom link that gets them into the meeting, they need to fill out the registration form. The link for that is: will just be filling out the application and submitting it. We have changed our policy to allow for self reported GPA, so for now we don’t even need a transcript  for most students. Students that are below a 3.0 will still need to submit their transcript for a decision. We are not requiring SAT/ACTs, so we might also have to ask some students for letters of recommendation or personal statements before they can get a decision.
  2. Second, we have our Fall Preview Day coming up on November 14. This year, we have a scholarship that is linked to a student attending one of our Preview Days. Students can register online at It is important to remember that this is a virtual event.
  3. Next, we have started doing limited in person visits. Time slots are limited to 1 family per slot. You can find the calendar of in person visits at
  4. Finally, we have made some changes to our admissions policy. I mentioned it briefly above, but we are no longer requiring that most students submit a transcript with their application to get a decision. Students who are still below a 3.0 will need to submit one, and supporting documentation may be asked for, but we hope this will speed up the process for many. When the student fills out the application we are asking that they put their self-reported GPA in the High School section. We will eventually need to get a transcript from all students, but they have until February 1 to get one to us.

In addition to admitting students based on self-reported GPAs, we are also not requiring an application fee for this year. All students get the fee waived.

We will also not be requiring an SAT/ACT for any student to apply. Even if their GPA is below our requirement, we will ask for other items besides their test scores.
