PSAT Day is October 11th, 2017

On Wednesday, October 11th, all 10th, and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) and 9th grade students will take the PSAT 8/9. The PSAT and PSAT 8/9 are standardized tests given nationwide and provide an excellent opportunity for McKay students. It will inform students of how they compare to other students nationwide in regards to their Reading, Writing, and Math skills. Students will also use the results to explore college and career options. In addition, the PSAT is also a great way for students to prepare for the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), which is a required test for admission by most 4-year universities.
There is no cost and we just ask that students come to school that day and take the test seriously so it will be a useful tool for them. Here are a few links to some resources to learn more about the PSAT:

Here, they forged new friendships with 119 other students from 9 other high schools in Marion County. Our outstanding students stepped outside their comfort zone, presenting a skit on stage, developing their public skills through the Opening Ceremonies Leadership Development Event, and set additional chapter goals for this year.
