Sports in the Sun...and/or..Rain! The weather is unusually random...even for Oregon!

In spite of the crazy weather, McKay sports teams are busy. Several scheduled events have been cancelled while others have been rescheduled due to inclement weather, but athletes continue to work hard and there have been some incredible moments already this season.

The wrestlers involved in spring events have made a mark for the McKay squad with Humberto Santana claiming the State Championship. For more information see the story on the main page of the website. Additionally, Track & Field athlete, Kelly Cruise, set a new school record in the javelin. Congrats to these great competetitors!

Check the calendar of events on the left of the screen to find out when the next McKay athletic competetion takes place. Come cheer on your Royal Scots!

Spring Sports are underway...hampered by weather!

Springtime in Oregon and the crowds rush to the ball fields, tennis courts, and track stadiums to watch the games. Unfortunately, the very wet weather we have experienced lately has put a serious damper on the festivities. Several baseball and softball games have been cancelled and the teams are working to reschedule those events. Practices are being held indoors for most sports, since the fields and courts are too wet. We hope the weather will cooperate just a little over the next few weeks so we can move forward with the spring season.

To keep up with the schedule, check the listings on High School Sports.net, or you can click the link for a specific sport listed on the menu along the left side of the website.
